Job summary

WeGo Public Transit is seeking a Planning & Development Coordinator in Nashville, TN to lead high-level project administration within the Development Division. You will support the Deputy CEO, coordinate cross-departmental initiatives, and help advance planning and development strategies for transit projects.

The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and eager to contribute to Nashville's evolving public transit system, gaining exposure to leadership, policy making, and high-visibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in public administration, urban planning, political science, business, or related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in public sector, transit, or community development setting.
• Experience coordinating capital projects and supporting executive-level scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate capital project activities, tracking deliverables, schedules, and milestones.
• Maintain project dashboards, calendars, and documentation for leadership review.
• Coordinate consultant and contractor communications; manage procurement activities with consultants and contractors.
• Prepare scopes of work and procurement documents, track budgets and invoices.
• Prepare project status reports and presentations for internal/external stakeholders.
• Support grant applications and reporting for transit capital funding.
• Monitor land use and development along transit corridors; conduct data research.
• Assist in preparing briefing materials and correspondence for division leadership.
