Job summary

WeGo Public Transit in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Scheduling and Service Planning Coordinator to help develop and optimize bus schedules for MTA/RTA service. The role supports biannual service changes and ensures timely materials for bids, while coordinating with Operations to maintain service integrity.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of transit operations or scheduling experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong data analysis skills with proficiency in scheduling

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in transit operations, planning or scheduling/logistics.
• Bachelor's degree in public administration, urban planning, operations management or transportation.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes data to recommend routing and scheduling changes.
• Assists with schedule development; prepares and validates schedule data for distribution to operators and customers.
• Produces and ensures the accuracy of driver run guides, postings, and headways.
• Prepares materials for biannual operator bids and annual operator vacation bids.
• Assists with the biannual operator bids.
• Coordinates with Operations to implement and monitor services.
• Maintains communication to internal departments regarding schedule adjustments and requirements.
• Evaluates ridership data from APC software.
• Supervises and trains part-time data collection personnel.
• Assists with service analysis and design; analyzes ridership data to inform recommendations.
