Job summary

Davidson Transit Organization, Employment unit of WeGo Public Transit is seeking a Scheduling and Service Planning Coordinator in Nashville, TN. The role supports service planning for MTA/RTA, develops biannual service changes, and ensures accurate materials are produced for operators and customers.

The position focuses on analyzing ridership, coordinating with Operations, and supervising data collection personnel to support service design and implementation.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in transit operations, transit planning, or scheduling/logistics management.
• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, urban planning, operations management, transportation or related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes data to recommend routing and scheduling changes.
• Assists with schedule development; prepares and validates schedule data for distribution to operators and customers.
• Produces and ensures accuracy of driver run guides, postings, and headways.
• Prepares materials for biannual operator bids and annual operator vacation bids.
• Assists with biannual operator bids.
• Coordinates with Operations to implement and monitor services.
• Maintains updates to internal departments regarding schedule adjustments and equipment needs.
• Evaluates ridership data from APC software.
• Supervises and trains part-time data collection personnel.
• Assists with service analysis and design; analyzes ridership data to inform recommendations.
