Job summary

County of Chester is seeking a Scheduler for the Office of Community Transit to manage timely scheduling tasks including subscriptions, in- and out-of-county rides, and daily driver schedules using a Shared Ride Software System.

The role requires being detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic office environment and collaborating with Customer Service and Dialysis Centers to meet transportation needs.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in Transit Scheduling or Dispatch.
• Knowledge of County policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create daily driver schedule with drivers, runs, vehicles, and times.
• Enter subscription data and changes into the Shared Ride Software System.
• Create trip groups for common destinations; map routes using Google Maps or Google Earth.
• Process out-of-county rides per guidelines; update system accordingly.
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Dialysis Centers to meet transportation needs.
• Monitor and correct problem trips.
• Communicate with staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Inform management of critical information.
