Job summary

WeDriveU in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Safety Manager to develop, oversee, and enforce safety compliance for our transit program. You will lead DOT/OSHA/CAL-OSHA regulatory adherence and prepare the workforce to meet client needs.

The role requires designing training for transportation personnel, supervising driver trainers, conducting on-going evaluations, and collaborating with corporate to administer drug/alcohol testing programs. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in paratransit safety/training leadership with regulatory knowledge.
• CDL with passenger endorsement and driving experience preferred.
• Strong MS Office and transportation software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead, design and implement training programs for transportation personnel.
• Supervise driver trainers and establish objectives, standards and schedules.
• Recruit and train drivers to meet company needs.
• Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training for applicants and drivers.
• Oversee drug/alcohol testing programs in coordination with corporate office.
• Conduct regular Driver Safety Meetings and performance evaluations.
• Investigate incidents and respond to safety-related complaints.
• Prepare reports on incidents and training outcomes for leadership.
