Job summary

MV Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Transit Safety Manager to lead safety programs and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations across the division.

The role requires hands-on leadership in training, audits, and safety initiatives to reduce incidents and improve outcomes. You will oversee Drive Cam programs, OSHA/CDL compliance, and the development of safety manuals, with responsibility for hiring, background checks, and ongoing safety performance across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of current experience in transportation safety or a related field.
• Experience managing safety programs and cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations and CDL rules.
• Ability to review training and safety materials and implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead division safety programs, manuals, and policies to stay compliant.
• Serve as expert on EPA/OSHA, CDL compliance across the division.
• Ensure new hires meet general qualifications, background, and DMV checks.
• Utilize safety technology tools, analyze trends, and develop preventive plans.
• Oversee safety incentives programs and Safety Points administration.
• Foster a consistent Safety Culture across locations and teams.
• Lead safety training and behind-the-wheel instruction per specs.
• Review accident reports to identify trends and root causes.
