Job summary

Accenture Construct is seeking a senior Construction Safety Leader to build and drive an enterprise‑level EHS program for large transit and infrastructure projects. This onsite role in California requires strategic leadership, regulatory expertise, and a track record of delivering safe, compliant constructions.

You will mentor regional teams, define safety offerings, and partner with clients and executives to ensure safety standards are met across programs.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of progressive construction safety management experience.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple projects or regions.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related safety/engineering field.
• CHST or other safety credentials (e.g., ASP, CSHO) may be considered.
• State of California QSP or QSD certification and OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety & Health.

Responsibilities

• Build, implement, and improve a world-class EHS management system aligned with client, corporate, and state agency objectives.
• Establish and grow a regional safety consulting team through recruitment, mentoring, performance management, and professional development.
• Define service offerings, standards, tools, and delivery models for construction safety services within the Transit Group.
• Provide executive-level safety oversight for complex transit and infrastructure construction projects.
• Oversee the full safety lifecycle of projects, including safety planning, program development, field inspections, compliance verification, and audits.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis for serious incidents and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions.
• Partner with Finance and project leadership on risk, insurance, and claims management including OCIP/CCIP and workers’ comp considerations.
