Tri-valley Opportunity Council is seeking a Transit Route Scheduler to manage daily scheduling and dispatch of Heartland Express Transportation services. The role involves coordinating rides, scheduling special trips, ticket management, and producing monthly reports.

You will maintain rider profiles and communicate with passengers, vendors, and drivers to ensure dependable service. Responsibilities include handling calls, monitoring dispatch software, and providing courteous public

Competenze

Associates Degree or two years equivalent of experience in office support, dispatch, communications, or reception.
Two years of experience with computers, including Word and Excel, email and internet.
Ability to understand city street structure and communicate city and rural directions.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Pleasant and professional phone skills.
Team player with ability to establish and maintain relationships.
Background check acceptable upon hire and ongoing.

Mansioni

Answers incoming calls or transfers as appropriate.
Operates dispatch tools including radio, telephone, computer and scheduling system.
Schedules daily calls and reservations across multiple counties using dispatch software.
Monitors radio and vehicle location for scheduling information and issues.
Provides public transportation information with courteous service.
Responds to emergencies and coordinates with supervisors and police as required.
