Qualifications

• Associates Degree or two years experience in office support/dispatch/reception.
• Two years of computer experience including Word and Excel, email and internet.
• Ability to understand city street structure and convey directions clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Pleasant and professional phone skills.
• Team player with ability to work well with others.
• Background check required upon hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate parties.
• Operate dispatch software and communication equipment.
• Schedule daily calls and reservations across multiple counties.
• Monitor radio and software for scheduling updates and issues.
• Provide transportation information with courteous service.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with supervisors and police.
• Maintain rider profiles, trip manifests, and ticket tracking.
• Prepare monthly calendars of routes in the dispatch system.
• Notify the public of closings and changes as needed.
• Sells bus tickets and assists in reporting.
