Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a Transit & Rail Director to lead the Capital Region Transit & Rail group in design, development and delivery of project tasks, while managing scope, budget and quality control.

You will supervise 25–40 staff, mentor teams, coordinate priorities across offices, and drive strategic planning, SSA, SCA and SDA processes to ensure client satisfaction and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 12 years of practical experience including 4 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages operating budgets for the group and coordinates with the office budget.
• Oversees group activities, sets priorities, and assigns staff to projects.
• Drives strategic planning and SSA process on pursuits and markets.
• Drives contracting (SCA) and project delivery (SDA) processes for scope, work plans and fees.
• Leads marketing efforts, client discovery, proposals, and win-to-work activities.
• Maintains client relationships and contributes to department growth.
• Recruits, develops and retains staff; supports performance and compensation reviews.
