University of Michigan is seeking a Transportation Associate Supervisor to provide supervisory support for Transit Operations, ensuring safe, reliable bus service for the U-M community. You will coordinate with operators, riders, and the Transportation Operations team, making quick decisions to maintain service levels and coordinate dispatch, maintenance, and records.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Group B with Passenger endorsement within Michigan (no air brake restriction).
• Experience with transit operations or transportation concepts.
• Strong communication, multi-tasking, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to supervise, lead teams, and enforce safety and customer service standards.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access; familiarity with Google apps.

Responsabilidades

• Assign and coordinate work of bus operators.
• Prepare daily schedules, rosters, runsheets, and reports.
• Operate two-way radio and support dispatch; coordinate repairs.
• Monitor data such as time sheets and vehicle allocation.
• Act as receptionist and provide public information.
• Provide staff support to Transit Department.
• Respond to emergencies and work at special events.
• Perform clerical tasks as needed.
