Qualifications

• Handle emergency calls, determine location and nature, and report as needed.
• Maintain professional standards when subjected to obscene language.
• Evaluate information to determine appropriate response.
• Interpret and apply work rules when necessary.
• Monitor bus emergency alarms and update computer systems.
• Operate multiple monitors, keyboard, and radios with speed and accuracy.
• Use Computer-Aided Dispatching (CAD) system.
• Visually assess drivers to make proper judgments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily transportation activities via two-way radio, telephone, computer programs and person-to-person contact to ensure on-time service.
• Perform other job-related duties in alignment with CARTA goals.
