Job summary

The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) seeks a Transportation Supervisor to ensure timely vehicle dispatch aligned with schedules, minimize delays, assign daily staff work, and enforce policies and safety standards. The role involves supervising paratransit operators and coordinating with drivers and staff across shifts.

Responsibilities include route analysis, incident investigations, and maintaining accurate records, while upholding union agreements and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college education preferred.
• Two (2) years demonstrated leadership ability.
• Valid Driver's License.
• No more than 2 points on MVR in the past 3 years.
• Reasonable Suspicion Testing certification obtained through TARTA employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates routing and dispatching of vehicles and operators.
• Analyzes routes and schedules for efficiency and service quality.
• Supervises paratransit operators; schedules and monitors routes.
• Conducts accident investigations and road supervising duties as needed.
• Keeps transportation personnel informed of weather and traffic conditions.
• Payroll verification, authorization, reporting and record keeping.
