Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a similar operation role of comparable size with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
• A four-year or advanced degree in a related major preferred.
• Industry certifications are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with State and FTA regulations for transit operations is essential.
• Experience developing and managing bus runs, shift bids, and run cuts.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills; self-starter and capable of leading others.

Responsibilities

• Ensure performance indicators meet or exceed client and corporate expectations.
• Meet or exceed division goals and objectives.
• Ensure subordinate staff are well trained and successful.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures.
• Promote company vision, values, and culture across operations.
• Keep liquidated damages to a minimum and correct failures.
• Develop and maintain positive employee and labor relations.
• Directly oversee operations department managers.
• Train and mentor a future successor for backfill.
• Manage the Operations Department annual budget.
• Assume responsibility of the General Manager during their absence.
