Job summary

MTM Transit in Tracy, CA seeks a General Manager to oversee contract compliance, optimize operations, and liaise between MTM Transit, clients, and departments. You’ll guide staffing, training, and performance to ensure cost-effective, high-quality transit services.

You will ensure adherence to ADA/DOT/FTA regulations, manage safety, and develop annual plans with a customer-focused approach. This role emphasizes leadership and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of supervisory leadership for a small operations team within a multimillion contract.
• Experience managing a site of 10–40 employees.
• Experience in the Para-Transit or livery industries.
• Knowledge of ADA, DOT, FTA regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracts and facilitate client needs with growth planning.
• Identify risks and develop resolution processes.
• Analyze program needs to ensure cost effectiveness and adjust staffing.
• Develop or supervise documentation and work plans.
• Provide employee training and development.
• Maintain compliance with MTM Transit policies and guidelines.
• Build strong client relationships for exceptional service and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with MTM Transit and clients to address concerns promptly.
• Deliver annual plan reviews and educate clients on MTM Transit procedures.
• Maintain safety standards and knowledge of local transit needs and ridership policies.
• Manage employee and vehicle files per FTA and DOT guidelines.
• Monitor direct reports and provide coaching and guidance.
• Oversee federally mandated Drug and Alcohol program.
