Job summary

MTM Transit seeks a General Manager in Fresno, CA to lead operations, coordinating with operations, corporate support and transportation providers for compliant, cost-effective service delivery. The role serves as the internal liaison to ensure contractual requirements are met at the site.

The position is contingent on award of contract. Responsibilities include client relations, risk management, staffing decisions, training, and adherence to MTM Transit policies and program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of people and job positions.
• Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of MTM Transit operations, policies, and guidelines.
• Knowledge of ADA, DOT, FTA regulations and budgeting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contract oversight and facilitation of client needs with anticipation of growth.
• Identify potential risk and develop resolution processes.
• Analyze program needs and adjust staffing to ensure cost effectiveness.
• Develop and oversee documentation or work plans as needed.
• Employee training and development.
• Understand MTM Transit policies and the employee handbook.
• Build a relationship with client to ensure exceptional service and problem resolution.
• Act as liaison between MTM Transit and client to address concerns promptly.
• Present annual plan reviews in a consultative way.
• Educate client on MTM Transit procedures and services.
• Maintain a Safety First attitude with client and personnel.
• Understand local climate needs for passenger transportation.
• Know ridership policies for smooth operations.
• Address questions regarding the site transit program.
• Maintain employee and vehicle files per FTA/DOT guidelines.
• Develop knowledge of MTM Transit departments and compliance programs.
• Monitor performance of direct reports and provide coaching.
• Oversee Federally mandated Drug and Alcohol program.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
