Job summary

MTM Transit in LaBelle, FL, seeks a Manager, Operations to lead drivers, dispatchers, and support staff, delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality transit service under contract requirements.

You will partner with the client, drive staffing and performance improvements, oversee training, coaching, safety meetings, and ADA/DOT/FTA compliance, while advancing customer satisfaction and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of transit management experience.
• Experience supervising employees in a transportation or service delivery environment.
• Experience managing operational performance, staffing, and service delivery.
• Experience conducting employee training and development activities.
• Valid driver's license.
• Previous management experience in paratransit, transit, or livery operations.
• Experience working with senior populations and individuals with disabilities.
• Experience supervising hourly employees in a passenger transportation environment.
• Experience delivering classroom and behind-the-wheel training.
• Knowledge of ADA, DOT, and FTA regulations.
• Experience with data analytics, reporting, and operational performance management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of drivers, dispatchers, and other operations personnel.
• Manage daily transit operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective service delivery.
• Monitor staffing levels, attendance, scheduling, expenditures, and employee performance.
• Administer coaching, corrective action, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings and reinforce company safety standards.
• Coordinate employee training, retraining, and policy updates to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.
• Perform driver evaluations in accordance with contract requirements and ADA, DOT, and FTA standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and collaboration.
• Support clients with operational updates, reporting, process improvements, and system enhancements.
• Analyze operational performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Participate in startup activities, service expansions, and business growth initiatives as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
