Job summary

Transdev North America is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily transit operations and ensure high-quality service delivery in the Boston area. You will supervise frontline staff, monitor on-time performance, and drive operational excellence with leadership support.

Responsibilities include coordinating dispatch, implementing technology solutions (VDS, Zonar, AVL), and maintaining safety and service standards while optimizing financial performance for Transdev operations.

Qualifications

• Must have prior transit or transportation experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include early mornings or evenings.
• Minimum of three years of Supervisory experience.
• Must be skilled in customer service delivery, problem-solving, and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 management presence to frontline operations staff.
• Monitor and evaluate daily operations and staff performance.
• Ensure performance indicators meet client and corporate expectations.
• Lead implementation and support of operations technologies (VDS, Zonar, AVL).
• Develop manpower requirements for Window and Yard Supervisors; assist with revisions analysis.
• Hold routine meetings with supervisors to address service issues and inform on changes.
