Job summary

Ramos CS, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is hiring an Office Engineer to support a transit capital program in Seattle. You will manage project documentation, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and payments, while ensuring compliance with contracts and standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Resident Engineer, design teams, and operations, with opportunities for growth within a national platform across the Western United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• EIT certification or CCM preferred; PE license a plus.
• Approximately 3+ years in construction management, contract administration, or office engineering on transit/rail projects.
• Experience with CMIS such as e-Builder, Unifier, Procore preferred.
• Knowledge of WSDOT, APWA specs and Sound Transit criteria preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for job communications.

Responsibilities

• Administers the project document control system with complete, accurate records.
• Manages the submittal log and tracks contractor submittals to final disposition.
• Manages the RFI log and coordinates with design/engineering teams for responses.
• Prepares progress payment estimates; reconciles field quantities with pay apps.
• Supports Resident Engineer in preparing contract change orders and documentation.
• Develops independent cost estimates and time impact analyses for change orders.
• Maintains change order and contingency logs; reports status to leadership.
• Maintains project records, including minutes, diaries, photos, and as-built docs.
• Coordinates with transit operations and systems disciplines to minimize service impact.
• Supports closeout activities, warranties, lien releases, and turnover of records.
