Job summary

Ramos CS, now a part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is actively hiring multiple Construction Managers to support a transit capital program in Seattle, WA. You will oversee administration of construction contracts, review contractor performance, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and safety requirements in field or office settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Washington is required; out-of-state licenses may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Approximately 10+ years of experience in Construction Management of Heavy Civil or transit projects.
  • Direct construction management experience with tunnels, stations, aerial guideways, structures, or related facilities.
  • Experience on Public Works projects of at least $50M in value.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for job-related communications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures safety of employees and the traveling public by observing operations and taking corrective action.
  • Reviews contractor operations for OSHA compliance and safety requirements in active transit environments.
  • Keeps complete contract records for progress, budgets, payments, and work orders.
  • Confers with contractors regarding plans, quality of work, and construction activity.
  • Performs field inspections to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Prepares and reviews daily diary entries and contractor activity documentation.
  • Monitors project schedule and budget and reports to senior management.
  • Prepares contract change orders and coordinates with engineering to resolve issues.
