Job summary

Canopy Roots seeks a Program Manager for the Metro Transit Community Response Team Mobile Crisis Response Program in the Twin Cities. The role oversees day-to-day operations, staffing, and quality assurance, serving as the primary liaison with the Metropolitan Council and ensuring contract deliverables are met.

The position requires strong leadership of field staff, trauma-informed practice, and a commitment to culturally responsive care.

Qualifications

• Active clinical licensure in Minnesota (LPCC, LICSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3+ years of supervision/leadership experience in behavioral health, social services, or related programs.
• Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or behavioral health crises.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, or performance-based programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Community Response Team mobile program.
• Directly supervise Response Team and Support Advocates; coach and evaluate performance.
• Support responders in identifying and managing complex cases; referrals as needed.
• Ensure services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and contract compliant.
• Facilitate weekly team meetings and in-field support for staff development.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development with People Operations.
• Manage scheduling, deployment and operational logistics across priority transit lines.
• Monitor program compliance and collaborate with Finance/Contract Ops for reporting.
