Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority seeks a Transit Management Analyst Trainee for the night shift to support the Subways Facilities Division with payroll, data tracking, and enterprise asset management. You will prepare reports, coordinate meetings, and respond to executive inquiries, often traveling for field visits.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, plus proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and related tools.

Position Summary

This position supports the Department of Subways, Facilities Division's geographical districts, by providing general administrative and office support in the areas of payroll, enterprise asset management (EAM), and email notification and response. Duties include tracking operational and district-level project goals, reporting progress to senior leadership, and providing clerical support such asmaintainingdatabases, preparing reports, analyzing data, coordinating meetings, drafting correspondence, and following up on open items. The role also includes responding to complaints, preparing executive responses, and conducting field visits.

Education And Experience

Transit Management Analyst Trainee:

Selection Method

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
