JOB INFORMATION:
  • Title: Transit Management Analyst Trainee (Force Account)

  • Compensation: $56,586 (TA)
POSITON SUMMARY:

Under supervision, the analyst will receive training in developing and reviewing Force Account labor estimates. This role supports the NYCT Subways capital program by working closely with the Department of Subways (DOS) operating divisions. The analyst will assist with cost analysis, and database updates for tracking and reporting on the status of the estimates. Additionally, the analyst will support other duties related to the Assistant Transit Management Analyst role or contribute to broader capital program initiatives within the Department of Subways.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive training in developing and reviewing Force Account labor estimates under supervision.
  • Support the NYCT Subways capital program by working closely with Department of Subways (DOS) operating divisions.
  • Assist with cost analysis and update databases used for tracking and reporting the status of estimates.
  • Support additional duties related to the Assistant Transit Management Analyst role or contribute to broader capital program initiatives within the Department of Subways.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Expertise in financial and budget analysis and estimating techniques

SELECTION METHOD

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, interview, and written assessment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Final salary is determined experience, skillset, and alignment with compensation practices. The posted range reflects expected compensation and may be updated as market or business needs evolve.

To be eligible for consideration for a new role, current MTA employees must complete at least one year of service in their current role prior to applying. Additionally, eligibility to interview is contingent upon maintaining a satisfactory record of job performance, attendance, and disciplinary conduct.
