You will supervise hiring, training, and performance reviews while upholding safety standards and DOT compliance. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance planning, parts coordination, cost control, and collaboration with operations to keep fleets reliable and compliant with company and regulatory

Qualificações

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• CDL Class B with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred.
• 7+ years in repair and maintenance of heavy-duty automotive and transit equipment.
• 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Broad understanding of mechanical systems in heavy-duty transport.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory laws for maintenance facilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willing to work shifts or flexible schedules.
• Subject to DOT drug testing; DOT 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits Schedule I drugs.

Responsabilidades

• Supervising Maintenance Staff: hire, train, and evaluate technicians; monitor attendance and payroll; enforce safety and performance standards.
• Preventive Maintenance: develop schedules, perform inspections, and ensure operational efficiency; coordinate repairs with mechanics and parts personnel.
• Budget and Resource Management: track expenses, manage spare parts inventory, forecast material needs, optimize costs.
• Compliance and Safety: ensure maintenance activities meet safety and environmental standards; maintain a safe work environment.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: provide mechanical expertise, coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs; monitor down equipment and report.
• Other duties as required.
