Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL Class B with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred.
• 7+ years of repair and maintenance experience on heavy-duty transit equipment.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Broad understanding of mechanical systems in heavy-duty vehicles.
• Familiarity with safety regulations for maintenance facilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and flexible schedules; DOT drug testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and schedule Maintenance Technicians.
• Approve maintenance priorities based on materials availability and operations.
• Coordinate and oversee work by outside vendors.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
• Manage inventory and parts.
• Implement safety policies per corporate requirements.
• Contribute to budget development and administration.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery methods.
• Travel may be required (<10%).
