Job summary

Prince George’s County Government is seeking a Transit Fleet Compliance & Maintenance Manager (Planner 4G) to lead maintenance programs, compliance, and modernization efforts within the Office of Transportation Planning/Innovations Division. The role focuses on fleet reliability, risk management, and asset stewardship across a complex transit portfolio.

Qualifications

Master's degree as listed in the Minimum Qualifications.
Three (3) years of responsible professional planning/program development experience with at least one (1) year of lead/supervisory experience.
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance compliance with DOT, FTA, OSHA, and applicable state and local regulations.
Conduct routine PMI audits and oversee third-party inspection contractors.
Coordinate with Safety, Operations, and Risk Management to address maintenance-related safety concerns.
Lead long-range fleet replacement planning and support lifecycle-based budgeting for buses and heavy equipment.
