Job summary

MTM Transit in Manteca, CA is seeking a Dispatcher to direct daily route and trip operations, ensuring safe, cost-effective, on-time performance. The role involves coordinating with drivers and service providers, handling inquiries, and maintaining compliance with client procedures.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in transportation dispatching, GPS/GIS knowledge, and a valid CDL B/A with endorsements. Starting pay is $25–$27 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling preferred.
• 1 year experience working with transit scheduling system preferred.
• Knowledge of GPS and GIS systems preferred.
• California CDL Class B/A with Air Brake & Passenger Endorsements preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate confidentiality and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Handle all inbound calls at the Manteca Transit Center with professionalism.
• Route trips based on schedules to ensure on-time performance.
• Assist drivers with directions and scheduling issues.
• Monitor routes, vehicles, and drivers using tracking systems for quality service.
• Provide daily safety messages and feedback on driver performance.
