MTM Transit is hiring a Dispatcher to direct day-to-day route and trip operations from our Allegan, MI office. The role involves coordinating with drivers, monitoring service quality, and maintaining schedules to ensure on-time performance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in routing/dispatch and familiarity with transit scheduling systems. This is a full-time, on-site position with standard weekday hours and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years in transportation routing, dispatching, and scheduling preferred.
• 1 year experience with transit scheduling system preferred.
• Possess valid authorization to work in the United States.
• Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phone call information and dispatching of rides.
• Organize and route trips based on schedule and location to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide assistance to drivers for directions to destinations.
• Assist drivers and transportation providers with scheduling issues.
• Establish and maintain communication with transportation providers.
• Record incidents and report to the manager.
• Document and report provider no shows or on-time issues.
• Inform providers of next-day trips and new trips.
• Monitor radios, phones, and service provision for quality.
• Record departure times, destinations, and return times.
• Provide feedback on driver performance.
