MTM Transit, partnering with the City of Manteca, California, is hiring Full Time CDL Drivers in Manteca. We offer competitive pay and benefits, with training classes starting regularly. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; must be 21+ years old.
• Must possess a valid California CDL Class B/A with Air Brake & Passenger Endorsements.
• Minimum of 3 years driving history; clean record; no DWI/DUI in last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation to riders.
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving and customer service.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading and mobility devices as required.
• Ensure on-time pick-up and drop-off and maintain safety protocols.
• Complete vehicle inspections and required paperwork; use tablets or electronic devices.

What will your job look like?

MTM Transit in partnership with the City of Manteca, California is looking for Full Time CDL Drivers to join our team in Manteca . We currently have training classes that start regularly!

What You'll need: Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid California CDL Class B/A with Air Brake & Passenger Endorsements
• Must have a minimum of 3 years driving history
• No DWI/DUI convictions in the last 10 years
• Must pass criminal background check investigation & Motor Vehicle record check
• No more than 4 pts in 12 months, 6 pts in 24 months or 8 pts in 36 months
• Valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronic device
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehend instructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, manifests, and schedules
• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOT regulations
• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the service area

What You'll Do:

• Provide safe and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required
• Complete paperwork as required
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
