Job summary

MTM Transit in Salem, OR is seeking a Dispatcher to direct day-to-day route and trip operations. You will assist with organizing activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, on-time performance and communicate service issues to the team.

You will coordinate with drivers and providers, monitor radio and phones, and document incidents, no-shows, and trip details. The role requires high school diploma, US work authorization, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience in transportation dispatching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch rides and handle incoming calls.
• Plan routes to optimize on-time performance.
• Help drivers with directions to destinations.
• Address scheduling issues with transportation providers.
• Maintain clear communication with providers.
• Record incidents, no-shows, and on-time performance.
• Monitor service quality via radio and phones.
• Document trip details including departure and return times.
