Job summary

HDR, Inc. is hiring a Resident Engineer for the LACMTA CMSS program in Los Angeles. You will administer construction contracts, oversee design reviews, and manage field operations to ensure compliance with project requirements.

You will lead documentation, change orders, safety reviews, and coordination with contractors, LACMTA, and project teams. A PE license and 10+ years in transit construction are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
• 10 years related experience in construction management on transit projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, estimating & scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Verifies project safety by observing contractor operations and traffic conditions.
• Reviews contractor operations for compliance with plans and regulations.
• Maintains accurate project records and contract documentation.
• Prepares contract change orders for alterations or additions.
• Assists in dispute resolution and timely communication with stakeholders.
• Performs constructability reviews and comments on design packages.
