Job summary

The City of Johnson City, Tennessee, is seeking a Management Analyst in Transit to support operations, planning, budgeting, and reporting for the Transit Department. The analyst will handle grant applications, DBE goals, and procurements, while coordinating with the Transit Director and technology teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, plus strong data analysis, reporting, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
• Ability to interpret laws, ordinances, and regulations and apply them to daily operations.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare accurate reports, and maintain records.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; able to work with public and internal stakeholders.
• Pre-employment physical and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Transit Planning with grant applications (FTA, TDOT) and compliance reporting.
• Support budgeting, procurement, and project coordination for Transit operations.
• Analyze transit data to support route planning and service improvements.
• Maintain and report on AVL/GPS systems, data, and related technology.
• Prepare reports, maps, and graphs for presentations and planning.
