Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking a Transit Coordinator - Financial Analyst to oversee grant and contract accounting for transit projects, analyze reimbursements and grant trends, and assist with budget development. The role requires a strong foundation in GAAP, regulatory compliance, and advanced Excel/data analysis skills.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of relevant municipal or federal experience, with a background in transit planning/management and documentation for FHWA/FTA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Public Administration.
• At least 7 years of applicable experience.
• Five years of experience with municipal, state, and/or federal agency in transit planning and/or management, and/or processing documents to meet FHWA, FAA, FRA, and/or FTA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post award grant and contract accounting activities for transit projects.
• Analyze contract reimbursements, increments, replacements, renewals; monitor grant expenditures/revenues.
• Assist with budget preparation and ledger reconciliation in accounting systems.
• Work with established procedures within City policies and budgetary plans.
• Communicate with senior leadership and manage complex analysis tasks.
