Job summary

Hyosung HICO is seeking a Test Lab Engineer at our Memphis, TN facility to perform testing of power transformers as finished products and in-process stages. You will design and direct testing equipment, calibrate instruments, and ensure tests meet customer requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 2–5 years of transformer testing experience and a strong background in QA procedures, data analysis, and report writing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years’ relevant experience in transformer testing in heavy industries or utilities.
• Broad knowledge of QA and Manufacturing procedures.
• Knowledge of electrical power tests listed in the job text.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers environmental, operational, or performance tests on PTD products and systems.
• Coordinates and directs testing activities and calibration of instruments and control devices.
• Reviews customer test specifications and implements testing to meet requirements.
• Observe and monitor production operations to ensure conformance to specifications and adjust as needed.
• Provide leadership for customer testing and maintain positive customer relations.
• Perform calibration and TPM tasks to maintain production testing.
• Promote process control and quality excellence through problem solving.
