Job summary

Hyosung HICO, Ltd. in Memphis, TN, seeks a Test Lab Supervisor to lead finished product testing of high voltage transformers. You will supervise test personnel, maintain schedules, train staff, and ensure equipment readiness.

You will coordinate with production to meet deadlines, oversee data collection and calibration, and ensure adherence to quality and safety policies. This role requires an associate degree and 3–5 years in electrical testing, with strong leadership and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in technical or business field with 3-5 years’ electrical testing experience.
• Developed supervisory skills to lead teams and meet production schedule requirements.
• General knowledge of electrical power systems.
• General knowledge of inspection tools, instruments and equipment.
• Developed computer skills with emphasis on MS Office and business enterprise systems for entering/retrieving data, charts/graphs and some statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise testing staff with emphasis on positive employee relations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Notify production of problems identified during test, assist in troubleshooting and develop solutions.
• Coordinate with production to maintain overall schedule and meet deadlines.
• Lead the test/inspection data collection and storage of data.
• Observe and monitor test execution to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Perform and/or coordinate repairs on components and testing equipment.
• Lead test team to complete testing and meet delivery schedules.
• Lead the test hall calibration and TPM process to maintain production testing.
• Provide leadership, direction, support and training for test lab inspectors.
• Prepare reports on operational performance, safety, quality, costs, etc.
• Lead lean quality improvement teams and communicate performance to plan.
• Promote a culture of process control and quality with problem solving and countermeasures.
