Job summary

Hyosung HICO LTD. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Test Lab Engineer to perform testing of power transformers as finished products and in-process tests, and to lead test-development activities on-site.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 2–5 years of transformer testing experience in heavy industries or utilities, with strong QA knowledge and hands-on testing skills. On-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years transformer testing experience in heavy industry or utilities.
• Strong QA procedures and measurement fundamentals.
• Experience with test data collection and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform environmental, operational, or performance tests on PTD products.
• Design and direct testing apparatus and equipment fabrication.
• Calibrate, install, and maintain test instruments and control devices.
• Review customer specs and implement tests to meet requirements.
• Monitor test operations to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Operate and manage electrical power tests: insulation resistance, loss, impedance, etc.
• Analyze blueprints and manuals to determine testing needs and procedures.
• Lead customer testing and maintain positive relations.
• Coordinate repairs on components and testing gear as needed.
• Support Test Engineering Supervisor and QA Manager.
