Job summary

Hyosung HICO, Ltd. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Test Lab Supervisor for the 3rd shift to oversee finished product testing of high voltage transformers. You will supervise staff, manage schedules, and ensure quality and safety in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in technical or business field with 3-5 years’ work experience in electrical testing in an electrical, utility, industrial and/or manufacturing setting or equivalent education and experience
• Developed supervisory skills to lead teams and meet production schedule requirements
• General knowledge of electrical power systems
• General knowledge of inspection tools, instruments and equipment
• Developed computer skills with emphasis on MS Office and business enterprise systems for entering/retrieving data, charts/graphs and some statistical analysis
• Ability to use office equipment and tools, such as: PC, photocopier, fax machine, test equipment, quality instruments, digital camera
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and to use inspection tools such as tape measures, scales, levels, micrometers, calipers
• Ability to operate powered equipment, such as fork truck and overhead
• Ability to travel to domestic and international
• Ability to communicate with others to complete work
• Ability to analyze data and develop accompanying reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise testing staff with emphasis on positive employee relations in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Notify production of problems identified during test, assist in troubleshooting and assist in developing solutions.
• Coordinate with production to maintain the overall schedule and meet daily/weekly/monthly deadlines
• Maintain positive customer relations in executing testing operations.
• Lead the test/inspection data collection and storage of the data/information.
• Observe and monitor test execution to ensure process and product conformance to requirements.
• Perform and/or coordinate repairs on components, assemblies, and testing equipment.
• Lead test team to the successful completion of all testing while meeting the production and customer delivery schedules.
