Job summary

The Weston Group is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients referred by physicians. The role requires coordination with an interdisciplinary team, scheduling, supervision of assistants and rehab techs, and diligent documentation to ensure high-quality patient care.

The OT will design individualized care plans with measurable goals, adjust treatment as needed, and communicate with physicians regarding patient status and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Must be licensed in the state practicing.
• Strong documentation and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and timely patient evaluations and designs individualized care plans with measurable goals.
• Maintains thorough documentation of services and progress for clinical and billing purposes.
• Schedules, evaluates, treats, and coordinates with assistants and technicians; actively participates in staff meetings.
• Notifies physicians of patient status and obtains approval for continued treatment as needed.
• Demonstrates professional communication with patients, families, and other care team members.
• Ensures adherence to insurance guidelines related to rehabilitation services.
• Leads and mentors OT assistants and rehab techs as required to maintain service quality.
