Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in waste management, logistics, or operations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to noise, dust, and waste materials.
• Able to sustain physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Ability to operate machinery and perform site inspection.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic in and out of the transfer station
• Communicate with Dispatch
• Manage equipment counts to reflect customer needs
• Supervise and train drivers
• Manage movement of equipment to ensure efficient workflow
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures and conduct regular inspections
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
• Manage operation and maintenance of heavy equipment
• Tarping required
