Liberty Waste Solutions is seeking a Foreman to lead daily operations at the Rowland Transfer Station. You will oversee personnel, contractors, equipment, and safety programs to ensure compliant, efficient processing of yard waste and recyclables.

You will also manage budgets, coordinate maintenance, and drive continuous improvement while upholding regulatory standards and customer service excellence.

Qualificações

• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in transfer station, landfill, recycling, or similar operations.
• Experience operating heavy equipment in a production environment is preferred.
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating multiple work groups.
• Experience operating truck scales or willingness to learn scale operations.
• Strong understanding of waste management operations, environmental compliance, and workplace safety.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and NCDEQ regulations is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.

Responsabilidades

• Direct daily transfer station operations, ensuring safe, efficient movement and processing of materials.
• Supervise acceptance, inspection, sorting, loading, storage, and shipment of yard waste and recyclables.
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders, crushers, grinders, screeners, and water trucks.
• Serve as backup Scale Attendant, including weighing vehicles and entering transactions in scale software.
• Oversee third‑party contractors, ensuring safety policies and regulatory obligations are met.
• Coordinate contractor activities to maximize productivity while maintaining safe traffic flow.
• Maintain safe traffic patterns for customers, employees, and haulers.
• Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and compliant with permit requirements.
• Enforce federal, state (NCDEQ), local, OSHA, DOT safety regulations and SOPs.
• Coordinate inspections, corrective actions, maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Manage equipment utilization and coordinate repairs to maximize uptime.
• Direct facility employees, assign work, and assist with hiring and training.
• Conduct daily crew meetings and communicate priorities and safety topics.
• Complete incident investigations, safety reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Oversee operating expenses and assist with budgeting and capital planning.
• Support District Manager with monthly P&L reviews and cost-control opportunities.
• Promote accountability, continuous improvement, professionalism, and operational excellence.
• All other duties as directed.
