EcoShield Waste is seeking a Traffic Controller to supervise the Miami transfer station and drive smooth, efficient operations. You will direct traffic, coordinate with Dispatch, and ensure safe handling of equipment and materials in an outdoor, fast-paced environment.

The role requires leadership, extensive knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, and the ability to manage heavy equipment operations while maintaining a strong focus on OSHA standards.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience in waste management, logistics, or operations.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and with noise, dust, and waste materials.

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Traffic Controller is responsible for the supervision and success of the Miami, FL transfer station.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct traffic in and out of the transfer station
• Communicate with Dispatch
• Manage equipment counts to reflect customer needs
• Supervise and train drivers
• Manage movement of equipment to ensure efficient workflow
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures and conduct regular inspections
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
• Manage operation and maintenance of heavy equipment
• Tarping required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience in waste management, logistics, or operations
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to noise, dust, and waste materials
• Able to sustain physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Ability to operate machinery and perform site inspection

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA certification
• CDL
• Heavy equipment operation certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
