Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of the twelfth grade and two years of supervisory experience.
• GED accepted in lieu of the twelfth-grade completion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operational functions within the transfer station and related duties.
• Assign crews and routes based on resources and tonnage data.
• Adjust routes, crews, and truck assignments to ensure daily refuse collection.
• Investigate property damage, accidents, and injuries; prepare factual reports.
• Coordinate 311 service requests and initiate corrective actions.
• Supervise maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles; coordinate repairs.
• Prepare and conduct performance appraisals for direct and subordinate staff.
• Maintain and review various records and reports (trip sheets, overtime, route status).
• Assist in training and orientation of new personnel; act as manager in absence.
