Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a press operator to set up, run, and monitor stamping operations, ensuring quality parts per JES and customer specs. The role involves handling up to 40 lb parts, performing inspections, and recording data in Plex.

Your work supports daily production targets on a 12-hour Y shift at Plant 4 in Holland, MI, with opportunities to cross-train and grow within a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• One year of experience running stamping presses (Automatic Feed or Transfer) (preferred).
• Prior experience performing die-set ups (preferred).
• Experience with part transfer systems (Linear system) (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret job element sheets (required).
• Ability to frequently lift/move material weighing up to 40 pounds (required).
• PC and keyboard/mouse skills (required).

Responsibilities

• Sets up and adjusts stamping press according to die set-up sheet.
• References production orders in Plex to stamp product per JES.
• Select and verify steel coils to ensure product meets customer requirements.
• Loads, unloads, and moves parts weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Performs on-line work center and operator inspections and records in Plex.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of the work area and conducts housekeeping.
