Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Rock Tavern, NY is hiring a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver for local shuttle moves between Ryder facilities. Expected hours are 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekend work.

The role offers paid training, a $22/hour base pay, and bonuses including sign-on and referral incentives. Local home daily, with 24/7 roadside support from Ryder technicians and uniform/boot allowances.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL and be able to drive truck and trailer.
• 9 months to 5 years of tractor trailer experience in the last 10 years.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle and comply with safety/DOT regulations.
• Perform shuttle transfers between Ryder customer facilities.
• Handle equipment transfer and parts pick-up as needed.

Immediately Hiring and Seating a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver and we want the right Transfer Driver to join us at Ryder in Rock Tavern, NY

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $22 Per Hour
• Sign On Bonus:Pays you $250 at 30 days and $250 at 90 days
• Referral Bonus: Pays you $250 at 6 months and $250 at 12 months
• Home Time: Local - Home Daily
• Mon-Fri NO WEEKENDS
• Hours: 1st shift, 8am-5pm 40hrs per week
• Manual Restrction ok

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement
• Transferring rental equip/ delivering trucks to customers, parts (straight trucks, vans, day cabs, sleepers, cabovers, etc.. based on what needs to be transferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
