Job summary

Ryder in Rock Tavern, NY, is hiring a Class A CDL shuttle driver for local transfers between Ryder facilities. Work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, 40 hours weekly, with home daily and no weekend shifts.

We offer weekly pay, a $22/hour wage, a $250 sign-on bonus at 30 days and 90 days, plus referral bonuses of $250 at 6 and 12 months. Uniforms and boot allowances, 401k with company match, and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months / 2 years / 5 years options.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety and DOT regulations.
• Route: shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities and transfer vehicles as needed.
• Maintain logs and records; perform related tasks as required.
• Support non-touch freight operations and vehicle transfers for customers.

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement
• Transferring rental equip/ delivering trucks to customers, parts (straight trucks, vans, day cabs, sleepers, cabovers, etc.. based on what needs to be transferred)
