Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver for a local shuttle route in Rock Tavern, NY. The role features a 1st shift from 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week, and home daily with no weekend work.

Offering paid training, uniforms and boot allowance, and a comprehensive benefits package, this position focuses on safe operation of shuttling equipment between Ryder customer facilities and minimal touching of freight. Eligibility includes DOT compliance and valid endorsements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety & DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
• Perform duties to ensure on-time delivery and excellent customer service.
• Follow procedures for transferring rental equipment and delivering trucks to customers.

Position Description

Immediately Hiring and Seating a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver and we want the right Transfer Driver to join us at Ryder in Rock Tavern, NY

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $22 Per Hour
• Sign On Bonus:Pays you $250 at 30 days and $250 at 90 days
• Referral Bonus: Pays you $250 at 6 months and $250 at 12 months
• Home Time: Local - Home Daily
• Mon-Fri NO WEEKENDS
• Hours: 1st shift, 8am-5pm 40hrs per week
• Manual Restrction ok

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement
• Transferring rental equip/ delivering trucks to customers, parts (straight trucks, vans, day cabs, sleepers, cabovers, etc.. based on what needs to be transferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
