Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Transfer Center Specialist at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. This per diem, rotating-shift role coordinates patient transfers and consultations, directing Emergency Department and Hospital Medicine admissions to ensure timely access to care.

You will support care teams, utilize EMS processes, and contribute to smooth operations. Education: HS diploma; EMS certification or five years experience; preferred MS Office, EMR and TeleTracking.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• EMS Certification or five years of relevant experience required.
• Microsoft Office, EMR and TeleTracking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient transfers and consultations.
• Manage assignments of Emergency Department and Hospital Medicine admissions.
• Provide support to care teams to ensure timely access to the hospital.
