Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Transfer Center Specialist at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. This per diem, rotating-shift role coordinates patient transfers and consultations, directing Emergency Department and Hospital Medicine admissions to ensure timely access to care.

You will support care teams, utilize EMS processes, and contribute to smooth operations. Education: HS diploma; EMS certification or five years experience; preferred MS Office, EMR and TeleTracking.

Summary:

The Transfer Center Specialist role is responsible for facilitating patient transfers and consultations, managing assignments of Emergency Department, admissions to Hospital Medicine service and providing support to all care team members to facilitate timely access to the hospital.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School degree or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: EMS Certification (does not need to be current) or five years of relevant experience required.
• Experience: See license/certification.

The pay range for this position is $25.24to $34.16 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
