Job summary

Maine Medical Center Portland in MaineHealth is seeking an Emergency Department Technician II - MMCP for part-time day shifts (2, 12-hour shifts: 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM). Under the guidance of physicians, you will assist with patient care including vital signs, pulse oximetry, EKG and phlebotomy, as well as stocking, results retrieval and patient tracking.

Requirements include completion of a Certified Nursing course and a CNA license; basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology are

Qualifications

• Completion of a Certified Nursing course required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant license required.
• Experience as Emergency Department Technician I preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare team with stocking, results retrieval and patient tracking.
• Provide patient care including vital signs, pulse oximetry, EKG and phlebotomy.
• Orient new team members and students and provide educational offerings in unit.
• Work under physician/advanced practice guidance
