Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ related clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• RN license in the states where the HCA facilities for that Division are located – multi-state license may be required.
• Knowledge of hospital operations and patient care practices.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transfer of emergent, urgent and elective patients to a final destination facility from all potential referral sources.
• Facilitate patient throughput with focus on quality and efficiency; provide follow-up to all participants.
• Collaborate with referring facilities, physicians, NP/PA, and hospital staff to optimize bed placement.
• Maintain accurate data in patient records and center workflow systems; document in relevant platforms.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA and internal policies; participate in bed management meetings.
